these pages contain info that might help others get started with cicruit
simulation. they assume the following:

a computer running linux (i use the latest stable version of debian, called potato or 2.2, and at
times will refer to debian-specific commands)

that you can compile and run programs. if you're new to both computing
and circuit simulation i suggest you look elsewhere (but feel
free to mail me if you have
software questions - for electronice related questions you're probably
better asking someone else).
