Excellent book. Early De Lillo - cold and clean and precise - funny, bitter, angry (or just amazed at the stupidity of it all?). Reminded me very much of Didion (although searching for those two names together doesn't turn up much so maybe I'm completely wrong). Need to read more of his early stuff. Alibiris is a good resource (this was an ex-library hardback for a couple of dollars). Andrew
