Just installed Mediawiki via Suse. With a skin from http://paulgu.com/wiki/Home and an old photo of mine, it looks pretty good - https://acooke.dyndns.org:4443/mediawiki I don't normally like wikis - in my experience they are suggested as technical solutions for social problems (introducing a wiki doesn't magically make your engineers doucument their work...) - but I think it might be a good way to organise private knowledge (my memory has always been useless and I find myself repeating Google searches etc to solve stupid technical issues). The reason I'm doing this now is I have a new job and I've been having something of a retrospective on what I did well or badly in the last one. More on that later. Anyway, it turns out Mediawiki, despite being a monster, is pretty easy to install (via Suse) and configure. And the skin makes it look nice. I did try luminotes - https://luminotes.com/ - which is very elegant, but there was no pre-built package and I couldn't easily install it using the available versions of various tools (they provide hosting themselves, but, well, you know how it is...)
