big john are a chain of corner shops found in the better-off areas. this is taken in vitacura (and looks like it might be a converted petrol station). their prices aren't great and the service is bad (they seem to always employ young people for some reason - i don't know why, since presumably the minimum wage law applies to them too), but they seem to be edging out the more traditional owner-run places.
