santiago's building boom affects even genteel providencia.
the cirrus clouds in the sky here are unusual. the typical winter santiago sky is grey, tinted yellow with smog. after rain (which clears the air for a day, as here) the remaining clouds are usually fluffy cumulus.
from a series of photographs taken around santiago. this isn't a neutral, representative view of the city. i am a relatively wealthy immigrant in a city that is largely divided by social class.
