Building a Jenkins Plugin and a Jar (for Command Line use)

Just so that this is googleable in case someone else ever needs it...

This is from https://github.com/andrewcooke-isti/JiraTestResultReporter which
is our rewrite of a Jenkins plugin. The code also includes a command line
tool which lets you do the same things (raise and close Jira issues,
basically) from the command line.

To build the plugin, you do:

  mvn clean install

To install the plugin you can do something like:

  sudo service jenkins stop
  sudo cp target/JiraTestResultReporter.hpi /var/lib/jenkins/plugins/
  sudo rm -fr /var/lib/jenkins/plugins/JiraTestResultReporter
  sudo touch /var/lib/jenkins/plugins/JiraTestResultReporter.hpi.pinned
  sudo service jenkins start

To build the jar for command line use:

  mvn clean compile assembly:single

To run the command line tool:

  java -cp target/JiraTestResultReporter-jar-with-dependencies.jar \
    com.isti.jira.CmdLine

And here's the pom:
