On Aging

This has ideas for a bigger post I probably won't make, but which I've
been thinking about for some time.

Discussing things with Pauli yesterday the two best reasons I could come
up with for not committing suicide were (1) sometimes a good shit really
feels pretty good and (2) what a waste if you don't take someone with you.

Point (1) is something of an inside joke going back to my previous job
when I found myself sitting in the the smallest room and realised that was
the best part of my workday.

Point (2) is related to some ideas I've been chewing over about terrorism,
old age, power structures, and civil resistance.  It's pretty clear that
there's a lot of corruption.  It's pretty clear that once you're past a
certain level, power makes you pretty much immune to legal control.  It's
also pretty clear that defending against suicide attacks that are
intelligently planned is quite hard.  Given all that, I can't understand
why old people aren't taking down corrupt fuckers on their way out.

Seriously.
